Terms

By accessing or using Recap ("the Service") during the private alpha period, you agree to the following terms.

1. Alpha Status & Experimental Nature

   Recap is provided as pre-release software for testing and feedback purposes only and may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features. The Service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice. No guarantees are made regarding availability, performance, or data retention during the alpha period.

2. Eligibility

   You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to participate in the alpha program.

3. Nature of the Platform

   Recap is a messaging aggregation tool that connects to your existing messaging and email accounts to provide a unified view of your communications. Recap does not: operate as a messaging service or telecommunications provider; store or relay message content beyond what is necessary for aggregation and display; send messages on your behalf unless explicitly initiated by you; access accounts without your authorization; sell, license, or share your message content with third parties; act as an email service provider; guarantee delivery or receipt of messages on connected platforms; modify or alter messages on connected platforms.

4. Third-Party Services

   Recap connects to third-party messaging and email platforms via their respective APIs and authorized integration methods. Recap is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of those platforms. Your use of connected platforms remains subject to those platforms' own terms of service and privacy policies.

5. Acceptable Use

   You agree to use the Service only for lawful personal purposes and not for spam, harassment, unauthorized surveillance, or illegal activity.

6. Data & Privacy During Alpha

   User data, including connected account metadata and message content, may be processed for testing, analytics, and service improvement. While reasonable safeguards exist, complete data security cannot be guaranteed during alpha. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect any accounts you link to Recap.

7. Feedback

   Any feedback you provide may be used by Recap without compensation or attribution.

8. No Warranties

   The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

9. Limitation of Liability

   To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recap is not liable for any losses, damages, missed messages, data loss, interruptions, or claims arising from use of the Service.

10. Modification of Service

    Recap may change features, functionality, or availability at any time without notice.

11. Governing Law

    These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Severability

    If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

13. Termination

    Recap may terminate or suspend access at any time. You may stop using the Service and disconnect your accounts at any time.
